I've always prefered this version over the original that was being included... I'm glad it will be noted for the next release.

I should elaborate a little more to this.
When something is "noted" I have a high chance of forgetting about it by the time we start working on a new version.
This actually has the status of "DONE" because after reading this I downloaded the new version and it is in my build. So unless something really messed up happens, this will be included in the next release.

ES13Raven showed the link to the newest version of Memtest86+, V2.11 as of this writing.
But, the downloadable files on that site are all .iso format. How would I convert an iso to an img file so the format matches in the ubcd4win..bartpe..images sub-folder?
I'd like to include the newer version in my build.
Thanks, in advance, for any help.

mbarnes explained it yesterday HERE.

Thank you, PCUSER, for your thoughts. I looked at Mike Barnes' post. He doesn't speak to my question, only how to use an iso in place of an img file. He also says he hasn't done it. I can certainly change the 3 ini files and the inf file to point to the iso, but would that realy work? Are img files truly substitutable for iso files?
Mike DID point me to the correct folder however. I had forgotten that the bartpe folder is re-created at each system build.

My thanks, also, to BENQT.
I found that, thanks to Google, that img files are contained within iso files and that WINIMAGE is capable of extracting them. I tried it and substituted the newer memtest.img for the V3.22 included file and it works. WINISO would appear to do the same job as WINIMAGE.
I ran the iso within a virtual window and the memtest now says it is V2.11 as opposed to 3.3.

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood what you were asking. I thought you wanted to know the easiest way to add Memtest v2.11 to your UBCD4Win build, which would've been to simply rename "memtest86+-2.11.iso" to "memtest.img" as mbarnes mentioned in the link I gave you...

I've now put Memtest86+ v2.11 in place of Memtest86, also using the .iso. Of course, it would have been slightly easier to rename the .iso to memtest86.img instead of editing the .inf and .ini files (if that works), but I didn't try it; just went with what I know works (and it did). Might try that other trick when I have time to experiment.
