    Hello,

    Anyone have a link?

Geek Squad told these folks they need a mobo. I want to make sure it's nothing obvious or easily repairable but I'm having a hard time getting this thing apart.

This 1 year old laptop will not turn on. Customer said it worked fine one day than nada. Battery will not charge...the charging LED just quickly flashes then extinguishes repeatedly. When depressed the power button just flashes for 2 seconds then goes out.

I was a little concerned when I realized they are using an aftermaket universal power adapter but I measured a steady 19.45 Vdc.

    TIA.

Thanks for taking the time to reply but I already been to that page.

They have basic user guides but no service or disassembly manual.

Sorry for the above link to the owner's manual only. Found this on line for a service manual for a C300 model:

Also found this in a tread:

For anyone still working on this, I e-mailed HP for disassembly instructions for the C500 series. They replied back saying a service guide isn't readily available for the C500 series, but the C300 manual can be used instead. Here's a quick link to the pdf http://h10032.www1.h...l/c00753552.pdf

The Piney you are the man!!!

Thank you for a great lead on www.laptoprepair101.com. I hate laptop repairs, but every once in a while I need info on service manuals on units. Thanks... banana.gif
