Which tool should I be using? Im having problems restoring the images files that I created with DriveImage XML.
So now im creating an image using ImageMaker and I the .img file takes up way to much space.
The Hard Drive is 250GB but only 2 GB is being used. When I use Symantec Ghost the image is only 2 GB
Any suggestions?

The only known issue with DriveImageXML is when the user used an old image from v1.x and tried to restore with the newer v2.x version. If your original image was made with the older version, use the older version to restore it with.
I also don't have issues with DIXML when used properly.

Plan A is always more effective when the device you are working on understands that Plan B involves either a large hammer or screwdriver....

You can also use Seagate DiscWizard (OEM Acronis TrueImage) if you have a Seagate/Maxtor drive.
(Even if you don't have a Seagate/Maxtor drive you can still use it, just hold down the 'alt' key and hit 't' and 'o' and then press the 'Ok' button at the error screen)
You can download the bootable iso here:
http://www.seagate.c...zardBoot.en.iso
If you want to backup from within Windows you can download the installable version here:
http://www.seagate.c...ardSetup.en.exe
I don't know if UBCD4WIN comes with a plugin for it or not but the installable version comes with a BartPE plugin which could be adapted to run under UBCD4WIN.
Cheers

Easeus Todo Backup BartPE plugin
Another option to consider and is free. Not used it via ubcd4win yet but appears very similar to Acronis.
