I use UBCD4win on a lot of customer computer and sometimes when I take it home. And stop using their ps2 connector on their mouse and keyboard instead use my mouse and keyboard which is usb their computer does not detect it, which I got to go back and ask them for it. It's not a big deal but I would love a feature to allow auto detection of new device to be working in if not atleast the keyboard and mouse. Since some system works and they can detect and install them themselve, but if a computer is only showing the loading screen and not fully loaded windows then you really can't install new device. Anyways I don't know if this feature is possible anyways.

      Hi West

It is rare for USB mice not to be recognised.

Occasionally some USB keyboards do not work, especially on older PC's

sometimes changing the BIOS setting for legacy keyboard compatibility works
      (this may require a ps/2 keyboard ??)
sometimes using a simple usb keyboard not a multi media keyboard works

There is a plugin to add extra usb keyboard support (it may be in lattest version 3.5)

Keep a spare PS/2 keyboard available is the easiest solution

Over the years we have added several USB updates to help with device detection.
In my experience I have had few problems with USB mice being hot plug-able. Usually the only time I have issues is with a USB flash or hard drive. That is easily fixed by running the HWPNP.

If you are booting with those USB devices attached, you should not have any problems....especially with mice and keyboards. If you still do have problems, are you experiencing that in "regular" windows too?
