Follow the instructions in the FAQ topic exactly, a lot of times users say they followed them but then figure out they missed a small detail. Good luck and let us know if you need further assistance.

I have deleted the UBCD4Win directory/files and will reinstall (from the safe mode as I received some interference from my antivirus (AVAST))
Do I need to run "DELLREGFIX.CMD" again?
Tks again.

The DELLREGFIX.CMD state that you run that on your Windows Source files that you are going to use and have copied to the hard drive... not on UBCD4Win itself.

Nope....same four errors:

Would love to have/use "Ultimate Boot CD" but have to write it off as unworkable on my PC.
I have other PC available but all are Dell and all have OEM OPSYS.
Do you think creating on another PC might help??
Appreciated you time and interest.

Build it in Safe Mode... I think you have a protection software that may be blocking it if you truely did follow the instructions properly.
A different Windows source may also help... Dell has made so many different builds that sometimes just using a different set can help.
You are not building the "Ultimate Boot CD" ... its the "Ultimate Boot CD for Windows"... UBCD is for DOS

I could be wrong, but I don't think you understand?
Where are the "source" files located for your UBCD4Win build? Are you using the XP CD or did you copy those contents to a folder on your hard drive......such as "C:\XPCD"??

The last build attempted was in safe mode.....
I copied the contents of the Dell XP Pro disk to my hard drive as suggested by the docs.
Thinking about it though I did not do an uninstall...just deleted the UBCD4Win directory. Probably not the way to do it!? I will try again with different OEM disk, different PC, etc.
