    Hello,

I have successfully made the ubcd4win cd for my dell computer. At this point I need to edit the boot.ini file. Can someone please provide step by step instructions for editing the boot.ini file in the ubcd4win platform? I need to remove the /safeboot command from the end of the boot entry.

Assuming your boot.ini is on the C drive...

Open a command prompt and type the following command...

      attrib boot.ini -s -h

Then simply edit it with any text editor such as notepad or notepad++ ( both are included with UBCD4Win )

When finished, reapply the attributes you removed earlier...

      attrib boot.ini +s +h
Plan A is always more effective when the device you are working on understands that Plan B involves either a large hammer or screwdriver....
