Help With Viprerescue Scanner Not working properly

    PE - is that programmer education?

    Anyway, when I run VipreRescue to scan for viruses, it scans, finds them, tries to clean them, fails, and disappears.

    Here's what I get:

    Files: 90858 scanned, 4 found
    Registry: 21171 scanned, 1 found
    5 threat traces were detected.
    Starting clean.
    Clean completed.
    Clean time: 00:00:00
    0 threats were cleaned.
    Press any key to continue...

    When I press a key, the program disappears entirely! When I tried to turn off the computer, the computer wouldn't shut down - I got a rundll32.exe problem, saying this program was still running. Then I ended it manually using Windows Task manager and the computer finally shut down. But when I restarted it and ran VipreRescue again to make sure the viruses had been removed, they were still there!

    Anybody have a clue what's happening here?
