    Hello,

I'm looking at a project that is still living, I mean that update their contents, in particular the antivirus and list of driver.
Is anybody know if there is a project to put UBCD4WIN on Winbuilder for example?

    Thank you
    Rmanal

There are no plans for such a project.

        Thank you for your answer.
And is there a next step for UBCD4WIN?
To be clear: I really like your work and I'm very sad when I see such great project going into little death, even if of course I understand it is the normal process for all projects.

Should we abandon UBCD4WIN and switch to WinBuilder which can be downloaded at reboot.pro? And is it possible to build a Windows 7 PE disk with Winbuilder running on Windows XP?

UBCD4Win is not dead. It might not have recent public releases but the internals including drivers can be updated by anyone. It still works great if you update the driverpacks and some of the included software and instructions on how to do that are posted on these forums. It's not quite as user friendly as it used to be because updating things is more work but it's well worth the effort for those that aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and do some work.

I've poked around other projects at reboot and other sites and never found one that was as full featured or as easy to set up as UBCD4win.

With Winbuilder you work with scripts which contains items like the .inf and xml files of UBCD4WIN do, but also the binary code of programs are encoded into the script files. These scripts can be downloaded from www.reboot.prp.

I don't know if and how you can easily update the scripts of the programs you can download from that site. In UBCD4WIN it's often a question of overwriting the older files of a program by newer files in case it's a minor update. ts eems to be that updating program scripts in Winbuilder is much more difficult.
