Ok, did get to this in 2.5...but I'm changing it for 2.6.

What tools do you feel shouldn't be in the "quick launch"?
What tools would you like added?

I'm going to do my best to honor everyone's requests, but that probably won't be possible. I'm keeping all 8 buttons.

The only ones I could think of removing was Network Config, PDF Reader, and IZArc. I feel that these are probably the least used.

So what tools do you use the most when you use the project? What would you like removed and added?

Oh yeah, BTW---I do have the RegistryEditorPE button fixed in the 2.6 build I am currently working on. I think Quick launch should be dedicated to repair tools. Mcafee AV/ Stinger, Adaware, some file viewer , maybe file recovery manager. especially if people use the project like i do, Just for repairs and recovery. a lot of people on 911cd use Pe for watching dvd's and crazy stuff like that. it's all bloat to me. Good suggestions, thanks you.

As for 911CD, yes they do get a bit crazy at times. They really like to get as many XP capabilities into their boot CD. The purpose of this project is exactly what you said...for repairs and recovery. Thanks again.

Presonally I would like to keep the network config icon... I do alot of data recovery and imaging through Ghost here at work. I like the fact that I can use the PENetconfig at anytime and map a drive using it without worying if it will work. Never got the other way of mapping a drive to work all the time... So I persionally vote to keep the network and Reg buttons. Ditch the IZarc and the PDF reader and replace like he had mentioned with Adaware and AV product or 2.

My 2 cents... l8r!!

I was thinking of removing it because Network Config is automatically run when the project boots, so I didn't think there was a need for it. I've never had to map a drive, so if keeping the button there to map a drive after you've had it booted for a while and it works....I'll keep it there.

Thanks for your input, I'd like to hear from the many other members of this forum also.

I agree except for the or 2. I say only include one of the best apps for AV and Spyware is a tricky one because for straight removal I would pick that one and then some are specific for certain things and they may want to be included also. IE - NOT ALL SPYWARE IS THE SAME. When it comes to AV it is pretty much all the same in my opinion.

I also agree with this statement. I think the quick launch should be designed around the scope of the project and pull the rest, besides everything is still available in the menu.
