I've followed this tutorial to combine UBCD and UBCD4WIN:
http://www.ubcd4win.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=710 Then I followed this thread to transfer the UBCD/UBCD4WIN CD to USB using syslinux as a bootloader (used the "ubcd2usb" tool on page 2): http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/forums/viewt...er=asc&start=20 It boots, and I've even managed to get INSERT and DSL to boot with some tweaks to 'syslinux.cfg', but I don't know how to boot UBCD4WIN with syslinux. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to do this? I've been searching everywhere and am willing to try anything at this point (IMG:http://www.ubcd4win.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) The closest I've gotten to a bootup is putting the following in 'syslinux.cfg':
CODE
LABEL ubcd KERNEL bootsect.bin ...which gives me a "CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR" when I try to execute the "ubcd" command. I also tried copying "setupldr.bin" and "ntdetect.com" from the I386 directory to the root directory and putting the following in 'syslinux.cfg':
CODE
LABEL ubcd KERNEL setupldr.bin When executed, it goes to a new line, prints "...." and then goes to the next line and freezes, almost like it loaded something and then didn't know what to do next. For the record, the UBCD4WIN build source was a WinXP SP2 CD (if that matters). |
