He included one up a few posts that I tried and that must have been the development one you might be talking about but as I said it actually got worse because it would then blow up in my VM. Just wondering what could cause it and why it's only certain systems or dependent upon what drivers or plugins you might add at times...

The one that is a "few" post up as you mention is one from Nov. '06 ... it isn't the one that Steel was talking about.
Plan A is always more effective when the device you are working on understands that Plan B involves either a large hammer or screwdriver....

There were 2 different issues with MyInfo in previous versions. The first issue showed the green dots on some systems and the second issue displayed an "Error" message box. Both should be fixed now and it's already included in the next version of UBCD4Win. If anyone wants to test it ahead of time then PM me and I'll send it to you.

I tested the newer myinfo that pcuser pm'ed me and it actually gave me a much bigger error. I've also been able to change the type of error received by editing the ini file within the myinfo folder by chaning from stretched to centered. The error is definately tied to the wallpaper. Question is, is it due to the size used initially. Should all wallpaper be set to 800x600?

Seems all the wallpapers that are at 1024x768 blow up. I haven't really tested if the 800x600 would cause same error or not when booting into the environment - don't want to create multiple coasters. Everything works fine though in VM Player but just not on certain systems.

I do know once it blows up no matter what you set while in the environment, from 800x600 to 1024x768 or even bits it will just keep causing the error.

My system has the green squares problem with MyInfo

It's a P3 733MHz on an ASUS CUSL2 motherboard (builtin Intel 815 chipset graphics). I've added the graphics drivers to the build, but it doesn't help. UBCD4Win still boots in a lower res and colour (as if it doesn't see the graphics drivers), but can be switched to a higher res and colour after startup.

I am willing to help test a fix for Myinfo.

          Clark.

The new file is substantially larger than the old one, what changes had to be made? if you don't mind me asking of course.

Just rebuilt and booted to system that had squared zero along top and now it's working.

                    Thanks,

                      PCUSER:

Any idea as to why it's still blowing up? Glad to hear that the green square problem has cleared up though. I was wondering if you were still looking into the error problem. As I the error can be changed by changing settings within the ini, but both report an OVERFLOW, between stretched and centered...
