    The above list is just a sample as to what's available you may want to shop around to find the best deal and quality product.

    I've just got one of these and they are very cool. However be careful and make sure that the device will support a non formatted drive as somebody lent me one and it didn't.

    If you want to use a spare HDD as a external backup I would recommend using a USB HDD enclosure as opposed to one of these.

    However if you need to recover data from a PC you can simply disconnect it all and plug it into a working PC with very little fuss.

        This one on ebay fits both 3.5" and 2.5" without any other adapters.

        Just had a further look this one fits all 3 SATA, IDE and 2.5"

          I looked into that one "this one fits all" but reviews I saw said that it was difficult to use because there was insufficient room to get the power supply hooked up because of the adapter box being in the way.

            dont use the first one posted that only does 2.5 and 3.5 right above.


            I have one already and if you get allot of traffic going over the thing the device attached to it will time out and eventually stop responding.

            This type of thing happens for instance if you are trying to backup the drive. It will time out after only a few minutes.

              The one I've got for work doesn't suffer from that problem. I've cloned several drives with it without any problems, I would have posted information about it but I can't find the thing anywhere, I could only find the above when I tried searching for it. The box has no product number only a serial number.

                ay yes that was one of my choices at the time or one just like it.

                If i get another one though it will be with sata suport.


                THanks for the links. New egg is an excellent place for these things and I am very leary of ebay anymore. To many ways to get ripped off.
