I'm not trying to sound negative, like a butt, or anything else here....but I feel the need to voice what I envisioned this category would become.

The purpose of this category is to further help people. I know I always whine about being busy (sorry I am) and I do not always have time for everything.

Here is what I envisioned this category to become. I was hoping that people would post links to plugins for commercial software here. I like the 911 forum, but I would like this forum to be as close to as "the one stop shop" as possible. I wanted this to be a place where a user would post about finding or creating a plugin for commercial software they own then start a topic with the software name. In the post would be a link for the download, instructions, etc. I hope I am not asking too much. I would just appreciate people to spend a little bit of time to help others out. I and many others have spent countless hours working on this project and would appreciate this help. I receive many emails almost everyday asking for help with these plugins. Since I do not own the software and do not know about working plugins for them all I can do is either direct them to our forum or the 911 forum. I thank everyone for checking out this project and am very proud that it is the "Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows."

Got so excited I forgot my comment. I agree with you completely. When we "begged" for this category it was for people to help people and capitalize on our knowlegebase and give you some relief. From some of the stuff I have read on this forum and the stuff that people want to get running.....I wonder what it has to do with "maintenance". Sounds like they are trying to come up with a stand-alone O/S (on CD). Again............not the intend of this forum or the function of the UBCD. IMHO.

Has it been that long that you have logged into the forum to notice that autologin is working?? It was "kinda" fixed at least a month ago, although my memory and time perception kinda sucks so it may have been yesterday. Uh, well at least a couple of weeks ago, not yesterday. Anyways, you can thank Digi and the 911 forum for the fix. You see Digi of course started in that forum since it has been around a lot longer than this project has. He knew of the issue and decided to ask one of the Mod's there if they could help. He then let me know about it and I contacted the indiviual and he fixed it in about 5 minutes. A really simple stupid fix, but hey I'm not a forum pro. This is my first and I think it's pretty good so far. I still notice that when I click on my custom "homepage" link in Firefox that I am not logged in. Although once I click on one of the categories I'm logged in. Not sure if it's a Firefox thing or what. Also I've noticed that when I restart my computer I must actually click the "log in" button, but it still has my password saved and I just click "log me in" then. Simple little things, but it's at least a lot better than it once was. I can now run the forum in several tabs without it booting me out.

Anyways, onto the topic at hand. It is kinda funny/weird/maybe dumb that this category was "begged" for....but when added has received little response. Also of note. I will be renaming the "commercial software plugin support" category to "commercial software plugin requests." I think that may be where the confusion started. I haven't made an offical post in that category yet but I want to stress the use of that category also. It should be the point where people request help for commercial software. Once an answer, plugin, and link are available then a new post should be started in this category. Discussion, issues, updates can then be posted for that plugin.

FINALLY....if an indiviual has a working plugin for any commercial software and has no means of providing a link for download please contact me. I will be happy to upload the plugin to my server and host the files from this site. Thanks for your comments on this subject and I look forward to other members feedback on these issues.
