      I myself have been looking for a good NOD32 plugin for the new version of nod and ubcd4win.

      The cdforums has some plugins but not very current and looks like people have had some problems with some of them. Mostly related to active scanning it appears though and I don't need this.

      Good luck and keep us updated.

          Hi,

          NOD32 provides well balanced, protection against threats endangering your PC and enterprise systems running various platforms from Microsoft Windows through a number of UNIX/Linux, MS DOS operating systems to Microsoft Exchange Server and other mail servers.

          Trojans, viruses and other malware using NOD32 are kept out of striking distance of your valuable data. Advanced detection methods implemented in the software even provides protection against the future threats from most of the new worms and viruses.

          To download and install the NOD32 backup plugin
          Right click the following NOD32.xml file and select Save Target As (Save Link As in FireFox): NOD32.xml
          After the download is finished, follow these steps to install the NOD32 plugin in Backup4all:

          1. Open Backup4all and select Tools->Install Plugin.
          2. Browse to the location where the plugin was saved (usually the desktop), select NOD32.xml and click Open.

          So i hope this helps you out in getting a NOD32 plugin.

            Guys it's pretty easy to make a NOD32 plugin.

            Download the latest nod32 on-demand scanner from here:
            http://finalbuilds.e...s.net/nod32.htm
            (it may be unofficial but it works just as good as the official version and is updated regularly)

            You can probably just copy it into your BartPE folder (somewhere like PROGRAMS\Nod32\Nod32.exe) right before you build the ISO image.

            Personally I wanted the menu entry so I have created a complete plugin. These files would go in the plugin\Antivirus\Nod32 folder along with the nod32.exe that you downloaded from above.

            nod32.inf

            ;nod32.inf
            ;PE Builder v3 plug-in INF file for Eset NOD32
            ;Created by soulstace 8/14/2007

            [Version]
            Signature= "$Windows NT$"

            [PEBuilder]
            Name="Anti-Virus: Eset NOD32 <CONFIG- to update manually>"
            Enable=1
            Config=get_update.cmd

            [WinntDirectories]
            a="Programs\nod32",2

            [SourceDisksFiles]
            nod32.exe=a,,1

            [Append]
            nu2menu.xml, nod32_nu2menu.xml

            nod32_nu2menu.xml

            <!-- Nu2Menu entry for nod32 -->
            <NU2MENU>
                    <MENU ID="Programs">
                            <MITEM TYPE="POPUP" MENUID="Anti-Virus Tools">Anti-Virus Tools</MITEM>
                    </MENU>
                    <MENU ID="Anti-Virus Tools">
                            <MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\nod32\nod32.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\nod32\nod32.exe">Eset NOD32</MITEM>
                    </MENU>
            </NU2MENU>

            get_update.cmd

            @echo off

              Thanks for the plugin, soulstace. :)
              Could you please justify/explain the source of this "unofficial" d/l.
              I'm sure others would like to know.

              Very slow download for 14MB at my PC. :blink:

              The get_update.cmd works... kinda. Just a link back to the main website if you hit config in the builder.
              So, yes you can manually update to the latest. Not as clean as most plugins in ubcd4win, but it works with a bit of fiddling.
              :)

                Hi dirkgently42,

                There are some download mirrors on that page. Some are much faster than others.

                The source I can't really explain. Just something I found a couple of years ago and I've been using it ever since. BTW, if you have the official version of NOD32 2.7 on your machine you can create a plugin from your own installation. See http://kb.eset.com/e...tent&id=SOLN557

                Yes. I did it that way on purpose. Just need to download the file to the plugin\AntiVirus\nod32 directory and rename it to nod32.exe
