I hope you guys can help me with this. I read on the comments and suggestions thread of a way to put Paragon`s Hard Disk Manager 8 on UBCD4Win. The poster said to go to the plugins part of UBCD4Win builder and just select Paragon HDM and click on "Configure" to build the plugin with the files obtained from the installed application on my PC.
I installed HDM8 per directions but there is no plugin folder for HDM8. I don`t know how to write plugin scripts (inf, xml, etc. ) so I can`t get anything done here. Can I get some help as to how to get HDM8 on my cd? I sure would appreciate it all!

1. Do you have Paragon`s Hard Disk Manager 8 installed on your harddrive?
2. If you do, run the builder, press Plugin button, find the plugin in the list, highlight it, press Config button
3. all files needed should now be collected from hdd to the plugin folder

Yes, I do have HDM8 installed on my system. This is a very useful free tool I must say!

I can`t find HDM8 in the plugin folder anywhere either through the builder or just looking in the folder. I have version 3.04. Is this version built with HDM8 option? I`m hesitant to update to 3.05 because I have spent so much time getting 3.04 the way I want it. (Knoppix, UBCD4.11, Ghost8 etc.) that I`m worried I`ll mess something up with a new install of 3.05.

I guess what I can do is install 3.05 in a different folder, copy HDM8 folder from this new install of 3.05 to my 3.04 and go from there right?

I know how you feel, I have some 2.12 GB of plugins added and several personal other settings (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

if you have PHD8 installed then you just have to go to plugins section and it will be as a comercial software, press config and it will detect all the needed files, copy them and then automatically enable the plugin

The HDM8 plugin is only available in UBCD4Win v3.05.... the plugin name is listed as "Commercial Software (requires license): Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.0 <CONFIG to Enable>"

Can anyone tell me how to get the new Paragon Hard Disk Manager bootable "recovery CD" ISO added as a boot option on the UBCD4Win's startup menu? I've searched for that, but can't find a plugin. The only related (I think) info that I saw was to get a plugin and add it under the Multiboot folder and then Configure... but that won't be easy if there is no plugin for it!

Any help would be appreciated!

Neels.

I think they used to use some form of Lilo for booting. I'll take a look at my cd and let you know.

Cheers
