Posted 30 Mar 2009General questions re:UBCD4Win
Burned iso image to CD.
Booted PC to CD.
Received error msg about bad checksum on wow32.dll.
Will re-burn at slower speed.
However, in an effort to clean up HDD, found UBCD4Win listed in add/remove pgms list.
Took up 1.83GB so I deleted it.
Should it have been there in the first place?
Should I leave it there next time?
After PC idle for a while, my av pgm, AVG, popped up a msg saying that HideExec attempted to open.
Since I read somewhere that it is supposed to be harmless, I allowed it to proceed.
Was that a good idea?
Thanks for any suggestions regarding this situation.
