Posted 5 Aug 2009LOL bengt, I said I have SP2 installed. The AS tutorial doesn't apply to me. I don't have any of those files on my computer. I looked on the SP2 CD. There's several files and folders. The biggest file is around 266 MB and is a self-extracting, 32-bit cabinet. Is this it?
Posted 5 Aug 2009Rdsok and Gedrean, I didn't mean any disrespect. It's just that these computer-forum "gurus" word their help in the worst of ways. It's like trying to put a 1,000-piece puzzle together that's missing pieces. LOL Please understand that when a newcomer asks for help, you must hold their hand from start to finish. Too many companies and forums are guilty of assuming the user knows, and it's ignorant to those that don't.
You see, my HP-Compaq PC came preinstalled with XP Home SP1. Then I ordered an official Microsoft Windows XP SP2 CD and installed it. If you'd kindly tell me the filename(s) I need from the XP SP2 CD, I could then copy and paste them inside a folder on my hard drive, and then direct AutoStreamer to that folder.
Posted 3 Aug 2009Rdsok, you're not listening to me. All I need to know is where to tell AutoStreamer to look for the SP2 files. Do I simply insert my Microsoft Windows XP SP2 disc, specify my CD-ROM drive for the location, and the program will copy the files it needs? Or, do I tell AutoStreamer the files are on my computer, and if so, what file or files?
Posted 3 Aug 2009I have Compaq recovery discs and a hidden recovery partition.
I did read the slipstreaming tutorial. I don't know where to tell AutoStreamer to look for the XP SP2 files?
