Posts I've Made
Posted 21 Nov 2009Several thousand plugins have been created by others, perhaps telling us what program you need would be a good first step.
Some plugins require less then 10 lines and one executable file, others require up to several thousand lines of code and months or even years to produce, leaving the third group that simply will never work in a PE environment.
One of the programs i would like to use as a plugin is Iobit 360. Also, i noticed that an older version of UBCD4win included AVG software. Do you know the reason for removing this program? I use it on my home machines and think it is a very good program. Also, where can i locate this list of plugins?
Posted 14 Oct 2009Thanks for all the help but i found that i was having quite a few problems so i re-built the cd (must have had errors i wasn't aware of) and so far the problems have gone away. I will continue to go through all of the programs to see if they work. I'll re-post if i have any further issues.
Posted 14 Oct 2009Thanks for the info. However, the instructions say that i have to be logged on as administrator and using the UBCD4win i am automatically the administrator. Yet i can still not get the program working. I think i need to ask that question directly to the test disk people.
Getting back to the original issue that i cannot get some of the programs to work i have found two more. Maybe these work only while in my windows environment but they do not respond while in UBCD4win.
Posted 14 Oct 2009The ram drive is 100mb with 100mb free space. So it appears to be empty however, i tried to empty it anyway and a command screen appeared and said access was denied.
I've been looking for a place to get more information on the test disk program but not sure where to go.
Posted 14 Oct 2009I thought test disk was a program to help repair or check the disk for errors or problems. So i would think you could select which disc you wanted to check. This program automatically tries to access the B:\ directory. Which is a temporary directory that i believe is created by the ubcd4win cd. Is this not correct?
