  1. Entrust Entelligence 8.0

    Posted 6 Nov 2008

I would like to see if I can create a plugin to support Entrust, has anyone tried this? I searched with no luck and am willing to put in some research time but could always use any helpful links. Our company has many security measures in place for data protection which is making it harder and harder for our technicians to work on the systems. We implemented Safeboot full disk encryption which I have a working plugin that gives my technicians disk access so now if I can resolve the EFS issues we should be able to save hours of rebuilding when things go wrong. I will have access to all the appropriate certificates so if I can get the Entrust client running, I will be able to finally put this project behind me.

    Any help is appreciated...
  2. Full Disk Encryption (Safeboot)

    Posted 30 Jul 2008

    Hello,

I am new to the forum so please excuse the newbie in me but we utilize a full disk encryption utility called Safeboot (owned by Network Associates) and they have a recovery CD that utilizes a BartPE interface for mounting and recovering data. My question? Is there a way to integrate their Bootable CD (which is BartPE) into our UBCD4WIN CD? I have been using UBCD4WIN for many revisions now and have the basic understanding about adding applications so I would imagine this could be a fairly simple modification but then again, NAI may have built a protection feature into this so we can't do what I am thinking about? Do any of you use Safeboot Encryption, or are familiar with their recovery CD's (called Wintech)?

I have not tried to play with this but am planning on looking into it this week and thought I would post up to see if anyone has already tried or may be able to save me some time/frustration.

    Any input would be appreciated.

We are using Safeboot (client version 5.1.1) and I would like to be able to mount partitions for data recovery or spyware/malware removal procedures when necessary. Also, I would like to be able to load an Entrust local encryption application so I can decrypt locally encrypted files when necessary but that will like be another topic all together.

    Thanks for any help...
