About Me
I am a retired USAF member with 24 years of service in the electronics field (Avionics/Electronic Warfare Systems). I presently work as a computer tech/printer repair guy for a firm in the area (since Oct '98). Electronics has been a passion since junior high school. I got started with computers when Radio Shack introduced the TRS-80 Model I. I worked part time for RS while stationed at Keesler AFB, MS and teaching electronics to basic tech school students. The system I taught involved a lot of digital circuitry and our test equipment used a HP 9825a calculator with a bunch of ROM packs that essentially made it a computer. The 9825a was used to control our test equipment and had a graphics display hooked up to it. So, I am not exactly a newbie. Have built several computers from parts - hand me downs mostly - over the years.
