  1. Mcafee Stinger Updating

    Posted 30 Dec 2010

Before posting, I thought I would do a search of the forums with regard to McAfee Stinger plugin updating. I see that McAfee has updated the program. Now I cannot do an update prior to building UBCD4Windows.

I am guessing the link to update is broken as result and was wondering if anyone had a workaround in the same way the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool needed a year or so ago.

Happy New Year to everyone and especially to the development crew for all their hard work! Your work has helped me out on quite a few occasions! Thanks again!
  2. Error Creating Bootable Flash Drive

    Posted 9 Dec 2010

While using UBUSB.exe to create a bootable flash drive (2GB Kingston Data Traveler), I am getting a "Runtime Error 76, Path Not Found" error.

I have reformatted the drive independently of the program, allowed the program to format the drive, and have a good set up for building the UBCD4Windows .iso. This error occurs toward the end of copying files to the flash drive.

Any suggestions on how to fix the error? I have re-downloaded the utility but the error persists. It previously had worked. Bad flash drive maybe?
  3. Updating A Usb Flash Drive After Building .Iso

    Posted 23 Nov 2010

Just a quick question here. I occasionally use a flash drive with the UBCD4Windows on it and was wondering if I can update the various definitions for the antispyware and antivirus programs on it without having to go through the build process all over again?

I use the UBUSB.exe program to make the flash drive. If it is just copying the BartPE folder, I would think one could update definitions directly on the flash drive since you can write to it.

Thanks to the development team for a great product!
  4. Nt Password Killer

    Posted 18 Aug 2010

A customer brought in a Sony Vaio machine the other day, couldn't remember the password for the administrator account, nor her own account.

I booted my UBCD4Win ver 3.60 and selected the NT Password Killer program. Lo and behold it hung up mid stream. I tried copies of 3.50 and even went back to 3.22 with the same results. It just would not complete the load.

Anyways, I went back to the 3.60 disk and after it had completed loading, used the Password Renew and was able to change the user account but not the administrator account.

    Any ideas on this?
  5. List Of Fixes For Problems Noted With 3.60

    Posted 3 Aug 2010

I was wondering if a list of the threads for the various fixes to problems noted with 3.60 could be pinned. I've seen various threads for the Avira not updating, SuperAntiSpyware crashing in 3.60, etc.

For example - Avira updating <Go to this thread> SAS <Go to this thread>, updating driver packs <Go to this thread>

My thought was that it could cut down on some of the questions folks have when running into these problems.

Thanks to Ben and his team of developers and testers for such a fantastic product as UltimateBootCD4Windows!
