Hello,

I'm a beginner and I don' know how to add a working BartPE Plugin to UBCD4Win.

With BarPE the plugin works fine. In UBCD4Win it is messing up the final XML code.
In wich Folder I have to copy the plugin. Something to modify (-inf or -xml?

Try this:
snapshot.xml

<NU2MENU>
<MENU ID="Programs">
<MITEM TYPE="POPUP" MENUID="Disk Tools">Disk Tools</MITEM>
</MENU>
<MENU ID="Disk Tools">
<MITEM TYPE="POPUP" MENUID="Backup">Backup and Cloning</MITEM>
</MENU>
<MENU ID="Backup">
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\snapshot\snapshot.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\snapshot\snapshot.exe">Drive SnapShot</MITEM>
</MENU>
</NU2MENU>

For snapshot.inf

; PE Builder v3 plug-in INF file
; Created by Bart Lagerweij

[Version]
Signature= "$Windows NT$"

[PEBuilder]
Name="Disk -Backup: Drive SnapShot"
Enable=1
Help="snapshot.htm"

[WinntDirectories]
a="Programs\snapshot",2

[SourceDisksFiles]
snapshot.exe=a,,3

[Append]
nu2menu.xml, snapshot.xml

This works, but I still need to test snapshot from UBCD4WIN properly some time.

Thank you for your assistance.

I'll modify the plugin in your way and test it after burning.

No need to burn cd:s, you could try using a virtualmachine to test new builds
QEMU, VirtualBox, VMWARE or other

Thank you very much for helping me.
I'm testing with CD-RW so I can update an bad new build.

By the way. My bootdisk works fine now.

OK. I may not have spent enough time on this but where do you put the snapshot.xml and snapshot.inf and where the .exe file and other (help file seems to be mentioned in the configs)?

Also where do I find instructions for making the configs myself?

Thanks in advance.

Use some of the included plugins as a raod-map to creating one and the help file is located (Strangely enough) in your ubcd4win\HELP folder.
