The Atheros L2 ethernet controler embeded on the P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard I have is not recognized. I see that there is support for wireless versions of Atheros NICs. Is there any chance that drivers for Atheros wired NICs could be added to the next release? The link for the drivers is: http://support.asus.com/download/download....el=P5GC-MX/1333

Thanks for your help.

I'll see what I can do. Next release may be far out though. You can try adding the drivers to your build yourself though, in the meantime. smile.gif

Asus offers Attansic L2 drivers.

Atheros Communications today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Attansic Technology Company

Delete old files (UBCD4Win)\drivers\Net\Attansic\L2.
Insert updated XP files at (UBCD4Win)\drivers\Net\Atheros\L2.

Thanks again. I tried to add the drivers but there still appears to be a problem. The drivers came directly from the ASUS motherboard driver cd. When added, the UBCD recognizes the NIC as being an Atheros L2 Fans Ethernet 10/100 Base-T Controller, but it will not pick up an IP address from DHCP. It will also not work with an assigned IP.

As I say, thanks again for your help.

Atheros Attansic acquisition maybe too new.

Asus offers different driver versions. Try different versions.
