If you have not already done this... copy your Windows install CD files to a folder on your hard drive so you can avoid read errors that are common with CD/DVD drives.

If you did do that... it appears that you do not have a complete copy of a standard Windows install CD.

its corporate xp pro corporate sp2 it that problem ?
or i need xp pro (original oem)?
or i need xp pro sp2 (original oem)?
this is a bad thing if i build a bartpe on xp without service pack?

thanks for you previous reply!!!

I use the corporate version of XP and it works fine for me so that shouldn't be the problem.

Is D your CD-Rom drive?

no it my second HDD i dont understand

you corporate is original or sp2?

It should work as long as its XP SP1 or SP2.... Corperate, OEM, Retail, NFR, Upgrade should all be fine if unmodified.

Try building it in Safe Mode to see if you have some overly active protection software blocking it.

I am having a similar problem. I have built and used UBCD in the past with no problem. I just wanted a newer version.
The process completes with no errors or warnings. It says that its building the ISO.
The last few lines of the log are:

'mtee' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Building ISO image done
Building done...

I look in the BartPE folder, but nada.

I'm using an XPSP2 pro disk with the hotfixes till 08/07 slipstreamed. I use it for normal installation no problem.
Where's the ISO?

You can't use a source that has hot fixes added to SP2. You need to use a source with just SP2 to build properly.

I checked that post, and I don't have multiple cygwin -dll files in my machine, but I do have Symantec Endpoint protection installed. I am going to try on other machine without Symantec installed on it. Thanks

I finally got the ISO created on another machine without cygwin and Symantec Endpoint protection installed. However, for the sake of the experiment purpose, I installed cygwin, and then tried to create the ISO file, guess what, it also worked. So it is time to try both cygwin and Symantec Endpoint protection installed, and the ISO file was created successfully. So with clean installation of cygwin and Symantec Endpoint protection , it should have no problem to create the ISO file. The problem I was having in my laptop is there are so many applications installed on it, those apps may have some dll files running is conflicting with the dll UBCD4win using to make ISO.
