It sounds like your computer is trying to boot from network via PXE. Go into your bios and set it to boot from cd/dvd first.

Maybe try to completely disable network booting in the bios and see if that works.

Another thing to consider... if you did not burn the ISO as an image as instructed in the How to Build pages... then the disk you created would not be bootable which would cause your system to bypass the drive.

My boot problem is weird also.
When I boot from the CD I am asked if I want to reinstall or update windows XP Home after I select "boot from CD" at the initial screen? I thought that was weird so I didn't. Then the disk just quits out.
So I tried again (several times) and told the CD boot to go ahead and "update" and the XP proceeds to install/update, I suppose, and after a few minutes I keep getting an error message:
"cannot find ajydle0u.sys" and quits .
What gives? What is supposed to happen at "boot"?
Need help.
Thanx!

Thanx rdsok:
I love playing "reply" tag.
I followed the "How to Build" instructions to the letter.
I have copied the XP SP2 to my hard drive at c:/xpcd.
I used the "burn option" listed in the "how to burn section" called "StarBurn" to burn the ISO to CD. This took place immediately ofter the "build" option with no problems.
I changed NO options in the "plugins" section.
I verified with the "checkSum" and verified all the files (On Line)after the CheckSum was finished.
During all this process, I disabled and exited my firewall (panda) and my antivirus (avg7.5)
I couldn't find any information in the "FAQ" that pertained to my build or attempt to boot problem.
I do not have a "dell".
Like to find out what happened. Where else to look? What comes next?
