I've created a UBCD4Win build from v3.12, have increased max size of the RAM drive to 384MB, activated DriverPacks.net's storage drivers, and updated all the updateable malware scanners. When we boot from this disc, AV^2 will work OK up to the point of beginning a scan, but it'll stop at zero files scanned and claim it's completed. This happened with v3.11 of UBCD4Win as well. Help? Thanks.

Do you mean A-Squared... there is no util called AV squared...

The DriverPacks are enabled by default... make certain you did not disable them.

What version and service pack is the source Windows files?

Did you add any additional updates to the Windows source or modify it in any way?

Is your Windows source from a normal Windows install CD?

They're enabled.

XP Pro SP2b; it's our site-licensed CD.

No, it's SP2b direct from Redmond, no changes.

It's a XP upgrade disc, due to details of our site license. I've got it pulling from a fileserver share that has all the files from the disc.

All I can think of to suggest is to try a different set of source files then... I've not seen nor have there been any reports similar to what you are saying at this time... there had been odd issues where the source files had other updates in them other than just the SP2 one's which are well tested.

Turns out that it's because the first few laptops we tried this on didn't have enough RAM, only 256MB. Works fine on more modern PCs.
