Now that my Win2k sp4 system is restored from XP pro, I discover that my pair of Western Digital 250G drives are recognized only as 130G. I last saw them as 250G when I used a couple of disk apps on the UBCD4Win disk to make (I thought) each into two partitions, with C on drive 0 and D on drive 1 primary. Win2K successfully installed on NTSF C; Drive #1 is seen as unallocated. Clearly my reach exceeded my grasp. I have Partition Magic v8, which sees the two only as 130G. I wonder if you folks will suggest a couple of disk apps, either on your disk or on the net, that will help me restore the drives to their real size, even if I have to reinstall Win2k. I used MBRWiz to clear the disks, and I think I used Swiss Army to set them up. However, the Win2K installer found C: to require formatting to NTSF. Any thoughts on where I went wrong or how best to make things right will be appreciated.

hello again,

here is a generic (works with all HDD manufacturers HDD)bootable floppy maker
http://www.postbox.wanadoo.co.uk/mb2.exe
down load to desk top
have a formatted floppy handy
double click icon on desktop to make a bootable floppy
boot with that floppy
it is for preparing hard disk it over comes BIOS limitations by putting an over Lay
so the system sees them as large drives .
it also copies one disk to another may be prepare one HDD and copy to it and then prepare the other .

regards Ben
