Hello All --

I'm a newbie to UBCD4Win (but have used BartPE).

I've always had the question: is there a way to incorporate all the latest available M$ security patches for WinXP, etc into the UBCD ISO?

Example site where roll-up discussed:

Any ideas would be appreciated -- ie. don't really want to have unpatched winXP_sp2 running on network/Internet with concerns about what potentially could happen to data on my drive.

Thanks -GA

Adding additional hotfix's or updates to SP1 or SP2 can result in odd issues in a PE build, so doing that is not supported.... Since UBCD4Win and other PE builds are made for recovery / repair operations and shouldn't be used as a full OS ( because they aren' t made for that ) ... there is little chance of having a security issue. Besides, if you are running from a CD, the media is read only so it can't get infected.
