I'm attempting to create a build DVD using my Vista Ultimate OEM 32-bit DVD. I made sure my hidden system and regular files can be seen via Windows Explorer and I copied my OEM DVD for Vista Ultimate 32-bit onto my hard drive.

When I attempt to create a build and point the source directory to where I copied my Vista DVD I get the following error message:

"Invalid Source Path (cannot find file: C:\UBCD4Win\VistaUltimate\i386\setupldr.bin)"

There is no such file on my machine and no folder for "i386" that's used by Vista OEM Install DVD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

You really should read the How To Build pages and the FAQ's.... Vista is not a valid source to build with.

Well, I did read some of the How To's and there was a listing of a tool in the UBCD4Win that's for Vista so I assumed it's compatible...but I felt like getting a faster response from the forum than reading through every single word of the FAQ's as well.

Do you know if this will ever be available? I'm sure it will but just want to make sure if there is a time frame...thanks! biggrin.gif

VISTA FAQ Entry

This should be able to answer your question. Vista is planned but is not mentioned for release at this time. XP and 2003 are currently the only source distros we can use to make the disk.
