Well I gave it a shot... I used Autostream 1033 to patch SP2 to my Windows XP Home CD image... I then launched PE Builder v313 with UBCD24 installed (even deleted the Plugin folder prior to install)... I now get the error message, "Source file wrong version. File version 'G:\i386\ntdll.dll' is 5.1.2600.0 and should be 5.1.2600.1045 or higher. You must use Windows Service Pack 1 or Server 2003 version of Windows!".
I am a PC Builder by hobby. That is the reason I wish to create this CD. The version of Windows XP I have was purchased from Newegg a few years ago and is a pure, non-hardware specific, OEM version of Windows XP Home. I find it hard to believe that I am a minority! Please advise... This is great stuff if I can get it to work! May even slip you a donation!

If you have the slipstreamed CD or ISO, first copy the contents of either to a folder on your HD. Then point pebuilder to that folder and let me know what happens. That usually solves problems. Though, I'm not sure about the new version of BartPE and whatnot and if there are new bugs or not, but it should work. What is the size of the XP SP2 ISO and/or CD? Is G: your CD drive? Any more information would be great.

See

Daemon Tools is what I had the ISO mounted too... The ISO is 494,908KB... Strange issue? Maybe I will try to slipstream it again... hmmm? The Daemon Virtual Drive is G:... could that be the problem? It was selected in Autostream... Autostream recognized both the XP version and the SP2 file... For some reason BartPE did not recognize the ISO as a SP2 slip-streamed version. When I have more time I will default to the manual slip-stream method... I just thought it would be cool to see Autostream work. Thanks in advance!

Problem solved!!! Autostreamer worked! The issue was that the *dll file referenced in the start of this thread was corrupt in the SP2 download... Strange issue that you would never know unless you actually attempted to use it... Autostreamer unpacked the corrupted file and used it, but Bart PE picked up on the fact that some of the slipstream process did not take place...
What I had to do was download "GetRight" which intercepts downloads in Internet Explorer and "forces" a multi-segment download of large files therefore improving integrity of the download. I re-downloaded the SP2 exe file. That worked. Now I do prefer "ReGet" as my my downloading tool, but "GetRight" had the capability of intercepting scripted downloads which you need for the Microsoft Download Center. So "GetRight" will now be in my "bag of tricks", not used all of the time, but there when I need it... Thanks for all of your replies!!!! Now to figure out how much to donate!

Wow that is a strange one. Thanks for letting us know what caused your problems! This may happen to another user and now we can ask them if they used "GetRight" to download.

I've been telling you over and over how awesome GetRight is. Now you have even more proof. I've been using it for years....
