Hi,

I'm wonder if it's possible to set ubcd4win in a usb flash memory drive in order to get "ubud4win" (Ultimate Boot Usb Drive for Windows) laugh.gif. If so, how would it do ?. I think It would help to save in CDs.

Thanks you very much,

Greetings,

Lin.

Well, if you're worried about wasting CDs, the best option is to always burn on a CD-RW so that you can update it anytime you want. But if that's not an option, this has ben mentioned many times before, though I still don't know if it works yet or not. Your computer would have to be able to boot from the USB drive at least, then I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else can help. smile.gif

I tried this a couple of months ago. I could not get it to work. Many instructions on the web say it is easy but then most of the more "honest" ones say it can be difficult. When the workload for the project slows down and I have more free time I will try it again!! Right now, I have not heard from any people who have been successful doing what the USB drive!

LarrySmith suggested this program here: http://www.prime-expert.com/flashboot/features.php

He nor I have tested it yet, but it looks very promising (though it's commercial). A demo is available for download at their site. Check it out! smile.gif

Hmmm, that looks pretty cool. Too bad it cost $26!! Hmmm, maybe I could work out a deal with them? wink.gif
I could promote and suggest their software and get a free license or maybe a few so my Moderating team can have a license too!! This project is pretty popular and I'm sure a lot of people would order it from a special link provided on the site. A special deal for UBCD4Win users! smile.gifWith the possible volume of orders the company should receive from the users of this project, especially if they gave a UBCD4Win discount! I don't know, I'll check the demo and contact them!!

First time I tried it and pointed it to the UBCD4Win ISO and then told it to create an image that I could later load to my USB drive, and after a little while (it seemed like it was going slow) it said something like "too many files in memory" and then just quit. I'll try some other options to see if I can fix this, but if nothing works, then I wouldn't recommend it. smile.gif
