But i can't surf the web, have tried with IE and Firefox, but when it should start drawing the page, it freezes, and i have to kill the app...
Just curious, how did you try IE (Internet Explorer) from within UBCD4Win v2.5? I have not yet built from v2.5 so perhaps this is a new feature?

I'm starting to find out here that there are a few issues with FireFox being a memory hog. I was going to keep K-Meleon on the project after adding FireFox but I changed my mind due to a few users comments. I also didn't want people feeling that I was bloating the project size with too many similar tools. I put my better judgment aside and think I made a mistake removing it from the project...
I did a little testing, and came up with the following results. Keep in mind, the values are approximate and may vary slightly from machine to machine, but gives you a a rough idea of memory usage.
I booted up from CD, and immediately did a "Clear RAM Drive." I then ran ExplorerXP, right-clicked and chose properties for the RAM Drive (drive b:\) to see memory usage. I then compared K-Meleon, FireFox 1.02 and Opera for memory usage, clearing the RAM Drive between each loading, to obtain as consistant results as possible, being careful to replicate each step. The approximate results:
- K-Meleon usage: ~18MB
- FireFox usage: ~21.4MB
- Opera usage: ~6.4MB
This test was done offline, so nothing was written to the cache in the RAM Drive.
Side Note:
Not that it should matter, but I also use an older version of the RAMDrive driver, so as to avoid the 96MB limitation... though in ordinary use, 96MB is probably more than most would use, I have found it extremely handy to occasionally have a much larger RAM Drive... when I'm at a computer that is "locked-down" - at a library or workstation for example, i can boot to my PE disc, and download large files to my RAM Drive, and re-upload to another location, all without leaving a trace.
Conclusion:
If RAM usage is the sole criteria for browser usage, Opera is the clear winner at only about 1/3 of the other popular browsers tested.
Perhaps others can replicate my results... otherwise, there appears to be little difference.
