yes it is, but no it isnt easy. As it currently stands you need to alter the nu2menu.exe to change it or use a different shell program (geoshell, etc.).

Yes you can.
Add your own start button as nu2go.bmp in \Plugins\nu2menu folder.
When this BMP file is not present in the folder, it defaults to the one in the EXE file.
The size of the BMP is 85 Pixels wide and 30 Pixels high.
I created one that was 60 high so that it peaks over the OS Start button.
