Just like Slamfest posted on Mar 16 2005, I'm experiencing a incomplete boot downloaded de driver lib and added it to the iso burned it on a cd-r and it works great on the machine I created the iso on! But I need it for my laptop (toshiba tecra 9100) and the LT will not continue past the blue UBCD screen (no start but and/or taskbar)...

Anyone...?

Hi Summit

To clarify, the ubcd4win CD boots OK on the PC you created it on?

When you try it on your Toshiba laptop it loads OK, goes past the normal WinXP load screen with the scrolling bar and then stops when it comes to the blue screen? But your not getting any 0x00000000 blue screen of death message?

This sounds like it might be a graphics card issue on the Toshiba or some other hardware.

Can you please post what model you have with full specs.
Graphics Card
LAN card details
cpu
ram
chipset.

Thanks.

Is that onboard graphics or not? That may be the problem, though I'm not sure.

Can you post in detail how you built your CD and with what version of XP? Thanks. smile.gif

Hi LittlBUGer,

I build the directories (c:\apps\ubcd\) using the on the website provided manual renamed the plug-in dir and unpacked the drivers add-on to the c:\apps\ubcd\drivers dir.
Then I burned the iso using Nero (file>open>ubcd.iso) the XP version is the latest available from MSDN (xpp v.2002 with sp2).

And it works great on my IBM Think Centre but won't show the start button and/or taskbar on my Laptop (Toshiba tecra 9100). No error messages....

And you didn't enable or disable any plugins or add any of your own plugins? That seems strange to me as it should work. When you burned it, did you use Nero Burning ROM or Nero Express? In Nero Burning ROM, you must to go Recorder -> Burn Image... to burn it. Also make sure to choose Finalize CD and Disc-at-Once. smile.gif
