Where is the serial number on old intel cpu's, I want to identify a old MMX cpu that I have which is no longer in a PC.
I know that amd's have a serial number which will tell you what processor it is, do old intels have the same feature?

It should be on the bottom of the CPU. Here's an example from one of mine (non-MMX)
A80502120 - This one is 120mhz
A80502120 - notice the 120

Serial Number = FV80503233
So this is a 233mhz cpu?

I've answered my own question, as I've put the above processor in a different PC to give it a upgrade from a 150mhz to a 233mhz...... Ooooooooooh the power....

Ok - now I have to ask... why didn't you just google serial number?

Arctic-> Your response reminds me of my emails sometimes. People email me questions and sometimes ask how they can do something. If it's something that I havne't done in a while (can't remember what software I used) I just suggest they Google. It's basically what I would do. Luckily, most of the time I have a suggestion though.
