I mean.. after all the problems with the UBCD, AND the fact, that I CAN't use MKISOFS, is there any other way of merging the cd's??? Because I tried EVERYTHING to merge them. I mean... CDBurnerXPPro can't, mkisofs - tells me errors non stop, ... huh.gifunsure.gifph34r.gifblink.gif

Merging what CD's? UBCD4Win and the Ultimate Boot CD? If that is the case, there is a guide on how to do it. I run a combo cd personally. What problems are you having?

I think the guide is quite clear on how to do the CD. I've made it many times and I know many others have made it with great success. Please post the errors you get and other problems you are having in extreme detail and maybe we can help. The only other thing I can suggest, as I said before, is VERY CAREFULLY look over the ENTIRE set of instructions BEFORE you do anything, and then start from the beginning and continue. Is there something not clear? I think they are pretty good, but I may be wrong. smile.gif

UPDATE: Well, just because I wanted to, I've updated the instructions a bit to reflect a couple of things that may not have been as obvious as I thought. I hope it helps a little, though there wasn't any major changes. smile.gif

If you want a quick and easy way to use MKISOFS, you can get my GUI here. For a combo cd (UBCD4WIN and UBCD) the boot sector would be loader.bin (just remember it needs a unix path...forward slashes and all...from the root of the CD).

Cheers

At the first attempt it simply would not boot PE & rebbot the system. Then I switched from SP-2 to SP-1. It worked like a charm.

I use several different versions of the CD to accomplish the end. Have one for simply the Antivirus, one for hardware testing - both under 200 mb & fit in a 8 cm cd-rw. Can easily carry it around in my shirt pocket for troubleshooting.

Then I have the versions with dos utilities & one with windows utilities.
