Hi to all,

I'm trying to use the latest UBCD4WIN V2.5 to build a Boot CD. For the OS, I'm using Windows Server 2003 Standard with SP1. When I build the CD, at the end it returned with the following 8 errors;

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\upnp.dll" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\upnp.dll" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\upnpcont.exe" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\upnpcont.exe" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\upnphost.dll" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\upnphost.dll" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\upnpui.dll" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\upnpui.dll" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\ssdpsrv.dll" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\ssdpsrv.dll" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\ssdpapi.dll" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\ssdpapi.dll" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\stimon.exe" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\stimon.exe" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "D:\i386\MSVBVM50.DLL" to "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\system32\MSVBVM50.DLL" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Also, I realized that alot of the SCSI RAID drivers were skipped the 1st time I built it but buliding it the 2nd time seem to have loaded & created all SCSI RAID drivers from the pebuilder.log.

Can anyone help? Thks!!

Hi Quiksilver

I've not had any experience of using 2003 but can you check that the following files exist in the D:\I386 folder

upnp.dl_ etc....

.dll files are named .dl_ on the install CD.

Also is D your Cd rom? If it is copy the Cd to your hdd and then point pebuilder to the folder containing the files you've just copied across and see if that helps. Pebuilder isn't always successful at copying files directly from the CD.

The problem is with various plugins which do not support Windows Server 2003 Standard. You can disable the following plugins and it will work:

System: USB Support
NwDskPe: NetWare / Microsoft Network Services Manager for BartPE / WinPE
VB 5&6 support

You can modify the plugins yourself by including the missing files directly in your plugin and not calling them to be copied from \system32

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the quick respond & I really appreciate it. Now to respond U guys.....

Hi stidyup,
Yes, my CDROM drv is D and I had a look at the i386 folder n the CD & nope, none of the files that were mentioned in the the error whilst building are there.

Hi DigiWiz,
Where can I find the plugins you'd mentioned in bold? I'd a look in the built pligin folder but can only find NwDskPe in it. Also, how do I disable plugins or how do I modify the plugins by including the missing files directly into the plugin folder? I'm quite lost here as where do I find those missing files in the 1st place?

I'm sorry but I'm quite a novice in building this boot cd but would love to try it out so that I can test it with most servers that I work with that have RAID on them.

Thanks once again smile.gif

Don't look in the plugin folder per se - start PE Builder and you'll see three buttons at the bottom:

Plugins
Build
Exit

Choose Plugins

You can now disable whatever you'd like.

I'll modify the plugins for you with instructions in a follow-up post later today... in the meantime, you can disable the above and get a working disc.

Once again, thanks alot & I'll let U know how is the outcome as it's way past my bedtime (12:06am here in Melb, Australia). Catch U soon smile.gif

Hi DigiWiz,

I did wat U'd instructed and had removed VB 5&6 Support & disabled System:USB Support & NwDskPe in plugin & the build process went through successfully without any problem. However, the boot cd that this had created had cause this blue screen of death after the 'Windows XP' splash screen. the error msg is;

STOP: c000021a {fatal system error} The Non-DLL file included in knownDLL list. system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0X000036f (0xe11aa418 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

What have I done wrong? sad.gif
stidyup
Google doesn't really shed any light on it.

Google Results for 0X0000036f

I assume you meant 0X0000036f and not 0X000036f as these strings are usually 0x followed by 8 characters.

Can you try building just a BartPE disk on it's own without any of the ubcd4win included. Will one of these disks work?

Looks like you may have Roxio GoBack installed and enabled. Disable (or better yet, uninstall) GoBack and try again. GoBack is notorious for causing bootCDs to crash as it modifies the boot sector.

This could do with adding to the FAQ's then.
Quiksilver
Thanks to both of your input...........I'll try again without the Roxio GoBack. Cheers!

Hi Gentlemen,

I'd checked in the Plugin & there isn't any Roxio GoBack in it. Am I looking at the right place?
stidyup
Hi Quiksilver

What DW was saying is that do you have Roxio Goback installed on your PC? It's not a plugin with ubcd4win so you won't find it within the plugin folders.

Check add/remove programs and see if it's installed there. smile.gif

Hi stidyup,

Thanks for the tip & I do apologize 4 being such a bozo tongue.gifI'd checked my software list in 'Add/Remove Software' & there wasn't any Roxio GoBack or for that matter of fact, no Roxio installed at all.
stidyup
Hi Quiksilver

Can you list if possible what software you have installed on your PC, perhaps it's another programme causing the problem (it might not be this) but it will be worth other members having a look as they may spot something.

Can you also list:
Mobo
Memory
CPU
HDD sizes
Any SATA/RAID/SCSI controllers
Graphics card
Networks cards

I've downloaded the trial version of 2003 but I've not had chance to try and build a cd with it yet, when I do I'll let you know if it went pearshaped for me as well.

Just to be sure, it was bought by Symantec and is now know as Norton GoBack.

In addition to the possible GoBack issue, disable the plugin entitled Dos 16-bit support (using the method described above), which is known to give the error you describe when built from Win2003. That should do it...

Hi DW,

I really appreciate your help. I'd finally successfully built a working UBCD4WIN V2.5 using W2K3 Std Edn with SP1. What i did was to uninstall my Systemsworks 2003 totally since I hardly use it's included package but mostly the Antivirus s/w. The Antvirus subscription wil be due next month so.......wat the heck. Don't worry, I'd installed Avast 4.6 & it seems to be working pretty well smile.gifAnyways, I also disabled the plugin for Dos 16bit Support. Just to let you know, the winning move was disabling the Dos 16bit support as after uninstalling Norton Systemworks 2003 totally & I did built an image but it didn't work. I was getting STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Non-DLL file included in KnownDLL list. System process terminated unexpectedly with a status 0xc000036f (0xe1078780 0x00000000). The system has been shut down. So I'd decided to disable the Dos 16bit Support plugin & this time it works. Now for a new task......to boot this newly created working CD on 1 of the HP servers & see if I can see the RAID SCSI drives. I'll keep U guys posted & once again, I honestly feel very appreciative towards you rcontribution & also to all who had given me pointers in 1 way or the other.......BIG THANK U!!!!!!!

Will be back soon wink.gif

Once you boot it up on those servers and if it doesn't see the drives, please let me know what controllers they use so I can add the proper drivers to the drivers add-on. Thanks. smile.gif
