Just came across this site linked from the BartPE site: http://www.pcbeginner.com/pcdoctor.htm
This sounds like the UBCD4Win disk, is it? Does it do anything more or better that UBCD4Win can't do?
Is it running BartPE?
Thanks

I don't know as I've never seen that site before. It looks a bit fishy, like something similar to those people who rip us off and sell the CD on eBay and whatnot. But then again, I can't be sure. If you would like to purchase one and let us know, go right ahead. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hmmm, yeah we will have to check that out. I wonder what files they give out on their "complete" CD? Microsoft may need to check into that.

The site reminds me of an eBay auction. I always see these goofy discs on sale there....too bad people always fall for them.

which I find really stupid that they buy a premade cd, becasue for some of the tools like antivirus and anti-malware you need to know how to update the def files then reburn a new cd anyhow..
by the way, just wanted to let you know, I am subscribed to the topics I posted in, but I am not getting emails for replies... only on some topics I get emails others I don't.. not sure if this is happening for others too..

Are your Email Settings set correctly? I get an email for every reply to every topic I either start or reply in.

You only get notification with the initial post to your topic. If several people respond you only get the first notification. I'm not sure if there is a way to change it, but that is how this board and many others are setup.

hey I emailed this company to see what they said.. here is their response to my question of what is different with your product versus UBCD4Win..
they said..
"Not the same thing. Our CD:
Disk Genius (www.DiskGenius.com) alone is $49.95 value!
In addition, you can use this CD to:
(1) Fix hard drive that has bad sectors
(2) Clone your hard drive: "Clone" means, IN ONE STEP you can "move" TOTAL thing in old hard drive to a new one!
Now you need NOT reinstall Windows and programs in you new hard drive!
(3) Find/remove Bios or power on password:
Do for your neighbours and sons and be a hero!
(4) Reset your Windows admin password
(5) Reinstall Windows
"

By the last look and testing of our current tools, we can do all of those things as well, LOL. Though we may not have this "Disk Genius", we do have other tools to handle all of those tasks as far as I know.

you know what's funny, at the top of this forum, in the "Ads by Goggle" section, I just saw a link for the "PC Beginner CD"... isn't that ironic, advertising for somebody that is probably ripping you off and selling your hard work for a profit...
