I've used an XP pro SPK2 Installation disk for UBCD4WIN creation and everything was OK, burned ISO but I've got nfrd960.sys error. Searching the FAQ the only suggestion was to copy I386 folder from CD to HDD. But I did it already. Is there another solution? Thanks

Which FAQ are you referring to...the one here in the forum or on the site??

Basically what you need to do is copy your whole XP CD onto your hard drive, then direct PE Builder to that folder as your source. Then build again, you shouldn't have any errors now. This is one of the many reasons I suggest in the instructions that users copy their XP CD to a folder on their hard drive.

Thanks for replay. It's about the forum on the site. Anyways I did copy the I386 folder of the XPSP2 CD onto HDD and I got nfrd960 error. At your suggestion I did copy the whole XPSP2 content onto HDD but i've got the error again. PLease note that I build BART CD using the same XP CD and everything is OK. Another issue: if I activate Dell system - aarich.sys not found plugin I got 4 errors and the builder does'nt make any ISO. Is there anything I can do?

Many thanks

What sort of version of XP are you using?

Is it a recovery CD as provided by your system manufacturer eg. Dell / Compaq etc...?

What language version are you using? Is it English?

Are you using a CD-R or CD-RW some CD-Rom's don't like booting of a CD-RW.

Have you checked that all of the contents on the CD can be read? Use DiskCheck.exe from the diskcheck plugin folder and check that all the disk can be read.

Hi!

I solved the problem removing IBM SCSI RAID driver. I don't understand what's happening because I haven't any RAID card or HDD. But now everything works fine. Thanks

That is very strange as to why that problem was occuring. I'm glad you fixed it, but I'm not sure what to do about the driver as it's required (was added by request I believe) and I haven't heard any other complaints on it. Hmmm, oh well I guess. Thanks. smile.gif

hi!

excuse my english
i also had that nfrd960.sys problem with ubcd4win v 2.5 and the driver release 1.2 and solved it the same way like cucubau
i use a laptop with windows xp pro in german language, and there is no RAID or SCSI in it

It could be a language problem, cucubau are you using the English version of XP?
cucubau
Yes I use an English version of XP. By the way I've try to build the CD on two systems: with Win2000pro and win XP pro (both english). But unfortunately I tested the ISO on the same system(with Virtual PC) which has two controllers RAID 0+1 capable (IDE and SATA) so this might be the source of problems (my mainboard is Gigabyte 8KNXP). I will try tomorrow to test it on a system without any device RAID capable. I'll let you know about results
Cheers
