Full Version: PE Build Time wrong?

I have noticed that when I build the CD and then boot it up the PE Build Time always seems to be a few hours ahead of when I built the CD. I built this one around 6:30 PM and then immediately burned it and booted it up and it showed PE Build Time 6/10/2005 10:22 PM and that's not correct.

Is it just me or is this BartPE bug or a bug elsewhere?

Even the time/date stamp on the pebuilder.log is not correct. It shows modified time as Today, June 10, 2005, 10:30:07 pm.

The end of the log file shows this:

98.04% done, estimate finish Fri Jun 10 18:30:03 2005
Total translation table size: 2048
Total rockridge attributes bytes: 0
Total directory bytes: 444772
Path table size(bytes): 3304
188700 extents written (368 MB)
Process done.
Build process done...

I have had this CD booted now for over 3 hours, 3 hours 42 minutes exactly and it's 22:27:25 here EST, which is 10:27 PM.

So there's something screwy in Denmark somewhere?

Do you have this problem with other files? I really think it has to be something in your Windows time? Maybe the wrong time zone or something? I really do not know though, no one has ever reported this issue so I honestly do not have an answer at this point. I will try searching a few other resources for an answer but I don't know if this issue has ever been reported.

Even if this may be a bug in pebuilder or even if it's just how it handles time (it goes off of an internal clock set in the code?), is it really THAT big of a deal, since it doesn't hurt anything? Or is knowing the build time crucial to something that you are doing? I'm just curious, but I've never noticed any problems with the time (then again, I've never looked that closely either). smile.gif

I have noticed a time discrepency of up to several days in some of my builds. I don't care about the time it was built so it never bothered me but just felt I had to input that I have had similar issues.

anyways... I think that it is PE Builder and not UBCD4Win.
