I have to admit this boot cd is cool!
I have always loved the ultimate boot cd for dos.
I have always loved the Knoppix boot CD for Linux,

Two things that I noticed with v2.5...........

1. Is Spybot maybe going to make it into 2.6?
From Spybot's own site (Patrick M. Kolla himself):
On PE boot CDs as well as on any system with multiple installations of Windows 2000 or later, Spybot-S&D 1.4 is able to scan the other installations as well, including the registry. From what we know, Spybot-S&D is the first anti-spyware solution that offers inactive registry scanning as a native feature.

2. Java support in the Firefox PE
If you go to Firefox on UBCD for Win and go to a site that uses Java like
nyc.speakeasy.net it tries to download the java component, then restarts Firefox, and tries to get it again. Is there a way to get Java into the install?

Reason I ask is, this is a great way to troubleshoot speed problems with your internet connection. If I fire up Firefox PE and my download speed is good from nyc.speakeasy.net I assume it is something wrong with the PC, not Comcast, Bellsouth, etc. I use the Knoppix CD now to do this, and it works, but I am not a Linux person.

Cool stuff Guys, I am impressed!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, actually through the history of this project SpyBot has been added and removed TWICE! Previous versions have never worked. A few weeks ago when the new version of SpyBot was released I (and probably every UBCD4Win user) became ecstatic!! I already have a working and confirmed plugin from the Beta Testers, however other things have held me back from releasing a new version. So here is what I'll do for everyone:

The plugin has been tested but will probably be modified in a few ways for the final release of the new version.

As for Java, I don't know. I can't recall if anyone else has suggested this. I could probably figure out a way to have it installed or included by default. Maybe we should start a poll about it. I do recall someone suggesting something and then many others objecting to it, but I can't remember what it was. I will also warn you that I probably won't have time to test this and include it in the new version, but maybe I will. I honestly never know!

Glad you are impressed. Feel free to make any other suggestions, I would be glad to help you get rid of that Linux CD.....for good! smile.gif
