HI all,

I have tried to build an UBCD, and... I did not succeed.

4 errors are found during building, here they are :

"Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "C:\ubcd\Pebuilder\plugin\mbrwiz\mbrwiz.exe" to "C:\ubcd\temp\Programs\mbrwiz\mbrwiz.exe" returned error 5: Accès refusé.
Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "C:\ubcd\Pebuilder\plugin\VNCServer\winvnc4.exe" to "C:\ubcd\temp\Programs\vncserver\winvnc4.exe" returned error 5: Accès refusé.
DecompressOrCopy file "C:\ubcd\Pebuilder\plugin\VNCServer\vncconfig.exe" to "C:\ubcd\temp\Programs\vncserver\vncconfig.exe"
Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "C:\ubcd\Pebuilder\plugin\VNCServer\vncconfig.exe" to "C:\ubcd\temp\Programs\vncserver\vncconfig.exe" returned error 5: Accès refusé.
DecompressOrCopy file "C:\ubcd\Pebuilder\plugin\VNCServer\wm_hooks.dll" to "C:\ubcd\temp\i386\system32\wm_hooks.dll"
Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile "C:\ubcd\Pebuilder\plugin\VNCServer\wm_hooks.dll" to "C:\ubcd\temp\i386\system32\wm_hooks.dll" returned error 5: Accès refusé."

I copied the files from a WinXP SP2 (SP2 has been slipstreamed with AutoStreamer) Home edition to my HDD.
I suppose it hasn't got anything to do with the error, but I ran PEBuilder on a PC running XP Pro, although XP files were ripped from a XP Home CD.

I followed the instructions provided, I swear smile.gif

The system is home-made, but does not include fancy hardware (AsRock K7VT4 Pro, AMD Sempron, Matrox G550 video card, etc.).

What's the trick ?

Thanks for your help !

Are you using a non-English version of XP to build the CD with? If so, that may be the problem right there. Otherwise, trying temporarily disabling any anti-virus or firewall programs or anything else running in the background that may restrict file access. Thanks. smile.gif

Yes : I use the French version of WinXP. However, I assume that the French translator of the "How to build" page did use a French version as well, and no particular problem was reported.

Anyway : I have disabled my firewall (Kerio Personal Firewall v.4.1.3) & my antivirus (Kaspersky Personal Pro 5.0.20), and IT WORKS ! I did not disable anything else, so I think that Kerio was blocking something.

Now I got my UBCD !

Thanks for your help !
