There are no exit, shutdown, or reboot options from menu when the CD is launched in windows.

Well, to begin with there shouldn't be a shutdown or reboot option when the project is run within Windows.

I know my build shows an "exit" option in the menu and it works, when the CD is launched in Win. Did you do anything to your build? Has anyone else found this problem? I don't understand since I have it in my menu.

"Exit" should be the only option when launched from windows, but I don't see it. I have just built a vanilla v255 using the config tool and choosing default build options..

Try another "vanilla" build without the config tool. Extract BPE to a new folder then UBCD4Win....go through PE Builder to build this time. I wonder if this could possibly be an issue with the config tool??

I thought, a while back, that the Exit option (only useable in Windows) was removed from the project?

ive had to manually alter the nu2menu for the past 1 or 2 revs to add the option back in.

if you want to add it back just place the following code in the start menu area of the nu2menu.xml file as shown



as for the Shutdown and Restart options those are in the nu2menu.xml file and should work properly but i havent had the time to test them personally.

Same result with manual build.

Yes, in version 2.5 those options were accidentally removed. I apologized to everyone and told you all that I was going to put them back in the next version. I just don't understand why Dirk doesn't have it listed in his menu??

updates.ini seems to be the problem

my updates.ini using config tool, even after allowing check for latest updates.ini:

The file I ended up with, initially, is UBCD4WINV.exe

This, obviously has a different hash compared to UBCD4WIN255.exe

v255 has exit in menu when launched from windows.

I just updated the updates.ini file on my server (sorry).

UBCD4WINV.exe is what I have it renamed to right now after it's downloaded but I'm working on a better way so I can keep the original name. I'm hoping to get a new version of ubcd4win.exe uploaded tonight.
