wacko.gifI purchased another version of this CD on ebay. I put it in, looked at the menu and that is as far as I got. I have not a clue how to use any of the tools on the disk. I purchased the CD because I cannot get my laptop to boot normally. I am running the latest version of Windows 2000. Right now I can only boot up using the safe mode choices.

How about a tutorial for those illiterate people like me?

Did you contact the person you PURCHASED a FREE project from?? Since he SOLD you a FREE project, I think he should support it. After making money on a project we've been working our butts off on for years for people to rip us off??

What do you mean by "similar"?? Is it this project??

I am having a few issues with this to be completely honest. To be even more honest, you purchsed a pirated miniXP CD that you honestly have no right to run. You need an XP license to use this project.

Should we help pirated copies of this project and XP??

How can I install the Windows XP/2000 Recovery Console? How can I start the computer and use the Recovery Console from the Setup CD-ROM? smile.gif

Ok, I'm fine. I just feel it very offensive that people make money on a FREE project. We have faced this situation many times in the past, however I think this is the first post from a "purchased" user.

I'm sorry if I came off hasty. I do not want to scare you away from the project. I vented on the wrong person and I apologize. I think (and hope) most people understand how I feel. There are still licensing issues, but let's please just drop or ignore that for now.

This project was started...uhh wait....yeah, exactly 1 1/2 years to the date! I started this FREE project to help people. I wanted this project to be easy to use for everyone, even newbies like you. We have found A LOT of great help over the past 18 months, but still not quite enough to provide "how-to's" or "tutorials" for all the software included in the project. You offer a great suggestion. However if you need immediate help, please post your exact problem in the "General Questions" area of the forum.
