Hello all.

I had previously made a BartPE disc with seemingly no problem but also no plugins. So after reading a post about UBCD4Win I thought it would be a great tool to have. I am using a Dell XPSP2 disc and have tried both enable and disable for the dellfix plugin. The full error code is:

Checking drive options.
Burning CD, please wait...
Running external program:
Q:\pebuilder313\cdrecord.exe dev= "Q:\pebuilder313\pebuilder.iso"
cdrecord: No tracks specified. Need at least one.
Usage: cdrecord [options] track1...trackn
Use cdrecord -help
to get a list of valid options.
Use cdrecord blank=help
to get a list of valid blanking options.
Use cdrecord dev=b,t,l driveropts=help -checkdrive
to get a list of drive specific options.
Use cdrecord dev=help
to get a list of possible SCSI transport specifiers.
Error: error code returned: 4294967295

Thanks for any and all help!

Does PE Builder create the ISO?? Have you tried burning that ISO with another application, other than using the built in one in PBE??? Do you see any other errors or messages? Since you have tried building with and without the "Dell" plugin, one of those builds could have errored out. As long as the ISO is created, try other software.

Thanks for the help! I actually did a couple of searches before posting but tried "error 4294967295" and either got no hits or too many nonspecific ones, can't remember at this point. I had read that sometimes it was better to use another burner other than the one included w/ BartPE and loaded a copy of Nero Express on to my computer but alas I didn't know how to burn an iso image sad.gifand by that point my brain was at super saturate. I'll have another go at it tomorrow.

I was having difficulty installing only the burner from the Nero disc and ended up installing all sorts of things that I didn't want or need so I think I'll remove it and install CD Burner XP Pro. Thanks again.

If you aren't comfortable with burning an ISO, I would highly suggest that you skip Nero, and refer to the CDBurner XPPRO instructions on the "How to build page". Very easy.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond to my question w/out any condesension (?). I have sucessfully burned a copy of UBCD4WIN using CD Burner and was able to boot to it.

Thanks again!
