Hi, I have problem to build UBCD for win2K3.

as followed intruction in "how to build" section. I understand that some of the plugin attribute must be change.I have some question here

1. when i try to locate PPOEXP and PPOE2K3 in the plugin list, its not in the plugin list.

2. when i try to enable Cisco VPN Client plugin, error msg pop up

"plugin check failed:
Missing files:files\other\cvirta.sys,files\other\cvpndrva.sys,files\other\dneinobj.dll,files\other\dne2000.sys,files\other\vsdata.dll,files\other\vsdatant.sys,files\other\dne2000.inf,files\other\netcvirta.inf

3. and for the dell system, its plugin name stated "aarich.sys not found error--> do not enable" . not really understand what is the meaning.

Pls help if any one of you done this before..thanks in advanced.
pls advise if there is any proper way to build UBCD for win2k3

1. They should be listed somewhere. The list is alphabetical so you should be able to find it. If they are not there, then something is wrong. You may not have extracted the UBCD4Win download to the proper location.

2. The Cisco plugin is one of the few plugins that is not "prebuilt." That is why it is disabled. In the "cisco" plugin folder you will find a "ciscovpn.htm" file. That file includes the instructions for getting it to work.

3. This is just a plugin that calls for several files located on SOME dell CD's that are required for those systems to boot. Basically they are SATA drivers. We really have no method for figuring out if a user needs this enabled or not. Basically i recommend that if you feel you may need it, enable it. If you end up with errors on your build, then the files do not exist so disable it and build again. You should end up with a sucessful and error free build.

Finally. There are a few other plugins you need to disable that are included in the project but not supported by 2k3. Disable the "DOS 16-bit support" and "VB 5&6 Support" plugins, the first causes BSOD issues and the later is not included on 2k3 CD's. You may also have to modify the USB plugin. Basically open the USB folder and modify the "usb.inf" file. Find the files listed below and put the ; at the beginning of each. Seems these files are not included on the 2k3 CD. Even without these files, USB support should be there.....at least that is what others have reported.
