I am new and am trying to understand when I boot into the ubcd4win is it a
very basic xp os? If I would want I could install xp complete form the tools options on the ubcd4win?
It would take the setup from the hard drive where I copied my xp cd?
Is there a reason for me keeping the xpsp2 directory on my hard drive now that I have a working boot disc? Where Can I learn to write basic code so I can make my own plugins? This disc is awesome it saved my files. Thanks for any help.

1. Yes, the UBCD4win (and BartPE environment that it uses) is a stripped down version of XP. It's like a Linux live CD such as KnoppixSTD.
2. You can't install XP from the stock CD. However, if you build a multi-boot CD/DVD then you could use the UBCD menu system to navigate the disk.
3. The disk doesn't do anything to your hard drives boot sectors when you build it, so no worries.
4. If you have a working disk, then I suppose you don't need the XPsp2 folder on your hard disk, however, if your planning on building your own plug-ins (information on which can be found here) then you will likely need files from your XP disk, as well as need it to build your new disks to test your plug-in.

Hope this helps biggrin.gif
