I get no errors it just does not build the iso.

I have not deleted the pebuild and temp dir's but i will try that and see what happens any suggestions would be great

I deleted the temp folders and it seams to be building iso now is this normal?

If you are talking about Windows temp folders... then in a way yes this is very normal or should I say common in Windows. Many programs can get "corrupted" because of files left in this directory. If you look at many help forums... one of the solutions that are often suggested is to empty your temp files to ensure they aren't the cause of trouble.

If you didn't mean these folders... you may want to be more specific about what you are talking about so someone can help better than what I just tried to do.. ie guess which folder you meant.

PE Builder does have a few minor bugs in it. I have noticed a few, but they are very sporadic. So in a sense it's normal, but it's really not. For some reason these problems seem to occur to new users??? I've only had your problem maybe 2 or 3 times and I've gone through the build process probably thousands of times!!
I'm glad you were succesful!

I've never seen that problem, as pebuilder deletes the contents automatically... seems strange to me. :-\

I had the same problem with no ISO being built, but no errors. I reinstalled everything, and it worked. So maybe I just screwed something up the first time around? I wish I had read this post earlier so that I could have tested your solution. I did notice however that when it worked there were a few command line windows that popped up and stayed open for a while. The times when it didn't build an ISO, I don't remember that happening.

Hello, everytime I attempt to build the .iso I get the following message...

Building ISO image
Running external program:
C:\Documents and Settings\fehlea\Desktop\PEBUILD\mkisofs.exe -iso-level 4 -force-uppercase -volid "BartPE" -b bootsect.bin -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -hide bootsect.bin -hide boot.catalog -o "C:\Documents and Settings\fehlea\Desktop\PEBUILD\pebuilder.iso" "C:\Documents and Settings\fehlea\Desktop\PEBUILD\BartPE"
The system cannot find the file C:\Documents.
The system cannot find the file C:\Documents.

Any ideas?

Note: I am building the CD from a Windows 2000 SP4 machine. I have copied all necessary XP Pro SP2 files to the following directory on my PC... C:\XPSP2\

Thanks!!

Also, I did try deleting temp files both in my windows directory and deleting the BartPE folder from within the builder directory. PEBuilder hangs for a few minutes at the "The system cannot find the file C:\Documents." dialog, and eventually finishes with the messages below. No .iso file is created.

Yeah, move everthing to another folder. Preferably to the root of your C drive. You are currently running PE Builder from your desktop! This is a big no no, as PE Builder has problems with paths that have spaces in the name. I'm pretty sure that is still mentioned on the site in the instructions.
