Seems that the default board options don't allow me to edit my own posts.

Can someone with admin control please enable me to edit my own posts? I promise to never say something stupid then go back and delete it. wink.gif

I just like to be able to add information at the top of my threads for fast reference.

There is a time limit for regular "members" to edit their posts. In order for me to give you that ability it would really be a bit of a pain. I would have to create a new user group and then add you to it.

Personally I feel some posts should be modified and some shouldn't. For example your post. If you edit and modify, add to, or change the question or contents of the post then replies below it may not make any sense or be applicable anymore. That could cause confusion or make the people who replied to your post look stupid. For support questions it's just better to follow the regular flow of replies.
Then of course there are posts here like the FAQ, build instructions, driver build instructions, other plugins, etc. where the top post should be updated with newer information or updated with a new version that is released. Then of course the possible discussion (if applicable) following the initial post.

You can always also ask one of us to modify your post for you. Just PM me what you want added or changed and I'll modify it if it makes sense.

Totally agree, I would never use bad edit educate. I'm a mod/admin on several boards so I know the frustrations of bad edits and all the emails from members. I understand your reluctance to add a new user group that allows edits.

If you read my thread I reply to everyone in the thread and only was going to update the common quests and solution sections. more of a reference document then a FAQ but the format is similar in nature. I feel like a dork for using that format assuming I could edit. tongue.gif

Anyways, cool board, I like the PE build CD. Seems there are always driver issues on boot CDs due to the amazingly large amount of devices and configurations out there.

Keep up the good work here,

Well, we try to keep up on the driver support, which is why we now have 2 different driver packs. One, the "old" 1.6 one, is the one I put together which uses pebuilder's default way of adding drivers, which unfortunately doesn't work that great for MassStorage devices. That's why we recently came out with the net BTS 1.01 ones which use the BTS driver packs that are very regularly updated and have been proven to work (and don't use pebuilders default driver adding method). Thus, with those, if you use all driver packs, you'll get a very wide range of hardware support, at the price of having a much larger .iso file (well, that's mainly due to the graphics driver packs though). I would suggest just trying first "our" 1.6 pack and if you still can't see your drives, then use the new BTS ones. I know for a fact that with our driver pack, I could never see my RAID 0 array (2x 74GB Raptor drives) on my nForce3 mobo. That was until I helped make and use the new BTS method, of which all went fine and I can see everything. smile.gif

I tried both and neither worked even tried to to both on the same build, Followed the Video and the Webpage instructions. Maybe I was just doing something wrong. In the end I put the CD together manualy with all of the drivers first release for my system after SP2 came out, took forever, but that worked great. I was able to load some full verssions and upgrades too. Think I have a ver nice Boot CD and have you guys to thank.

Thank you!
