Can anyone suggest a good alternative to Qemu? Or tell me how to use Qemu to test an iso before I burn it?

Use the config tool to build one of the options is to run the file in qemu.

It will create a folder called qemu which will have a bat file in to run qemu.

Where did you download QEMU and how did you initially run it? After installing it, there should be a .bat file that you run that gives you menu options and whatnot on what you want to do. Such as, you can choose how much RAM and stuff to use. Then you can create an image, which means to load the .iso file, and then there you go. If you need further help with it, just ask.
